Welcome to the Hacienda Suite! We're at the edge of a quiet neighborhood, close to Sedona's red rocks, historic mining town of Jerome, Verde Canyon Railroad, and tasting rooms in Old Town. This lower-level "in-law" apartment w/kitchenette has a private entrance, living & dining areas, game area, bedroom and bath. The space The Hacienda Suite is a southwest-themed, 825+ sq. ft. 1BR apartment with kitchenette on the lower level at High Desert Vista with: - private entrance - space for two cars in driveway - sleeps 1-4 people Large entryway opens to dining area, living room, and game space featuring air hockey and billiards. Windows along the front look out over the Verde Valley and to the red rocks of Sedona beyond. Living/dining room: - new mini-split HVAC system so you can regulate the temperature yourself - Smart TV (Roku) - full-size sofa bed - various games (backgammon, chess, puzzles) - dining table and chairs Kitchenette/coffee bar: - coffee maker, coffee grinder, electric tea kettle, blender, refrigerator, microwave, toaster - double sink for easy cleanup - coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and bottled water **NOTE: This is NOT a full kitchen (no stove, exhaust fan, dishwasher, or garbage disposal), and is not intended for full meal prep. Hot plate appliances or camp stoves are not allowed.** Enjoy a restful sleep in complete darkness in the interior bedroom, which holds a queen bed with highly-rated Beautyrest PressureSmart plush pillowtop mattress of medium firmness, dressed with quality linens. BR has two night stands, dresser, and large closet. Bedside lamps have USB ports to charge your devices. Blankets and pillows for the sofa bed are in the storage bench. Bathroom: - modern circular corner shower, vanity, and toilet - fluffy towels - shampoo/conditioner/shower gel dispenser The bathroom is quite cozy (the space between shower stall and wall is under 18"). Brochures and coupons for local restaurants and attractions are in a letterbox on top of the fridge. Staying home? Challenge your friends to a game of cornhole outside while you put dinner on the grill. We offer To-Go Breakfasts, Picnic Lunches, and Concierge Services (extra fee) for those who... - don't want to waste valuable vacation time buying groceries - aren't ready to return to packed restaurants - prefer to have a chef create their meals. Our menu features house-made Canadian bacon and smoked salmon, herbs from our greenhouse, and other local ingredients. Chef/concierge services billed separately from lodging in advance of stay. Guests do not have access to the upstairs deck or main level of house, which may be occupied by other guests or the owners. Please be aware that, as a lower-level apartment, it's common to hear footsteps above, though upstairs guests are asked to respect quiet hours between 11 pm and 6 am. Contact hosts if you are interested in renting both the Hacienda Suite and Balcony spaces at the same time (sleeps max of 8 guests). Other details to note Due to hosts' allergies: - No cigar/cigarette/marijuana smoking or vaping either inside or on the surrounding property. A discarded butt has the potential to start a brushfire. Guests who violate this rule will be charged for cleaning the smoke smell from the house. - No pets/animals, including service animals. If you arrive with any type of animal, even if crated, you will be turned away as a late cancellation. We are happy to recommend a local boarding kennel. We keep an animal-free home because of our allergies, and can ensure other guests that no animals have stayed on property. Interaction with guests Dennis and I live in Scottsdale, AZ, but spend some weekends (and an occasional weekday) in the upstairs owners' suite. Because yours is a private guest suite, you may not even know we are there. We are just a knock, phone call, or text away. Our intent is to run this property like a true bed and breakfast, with meal services available for an extra fee. Please help us create an environment that people want to visit. If you damage or break something, please let us know. Your cleaning fee includes turning over the guest rooms, as well as laundering linens and towels. If you clean up after yourself and leave the space basically as you found it, you should be good.
